Virginia needs jobs--in both urban and rural areas alike--that pay well and stay put. But, in this world of rapidly changing technology and global trade, it is challenging to create good jobs and to keep them from moving away.
That’s why a group of dedicated citizens formed a statewide volunteer network called Ascent Virginia. We believe that through a collaborative effort—one involving economic development officials, workforce agencies, technology companies and entrepreneurs, universities, local communities and elected leaders at all levels—we can make Virginia a center for clean technology jobs that pay and stay
